Thousands of football fans are getting ready for the FA Cup final tonight which will take place at Wembley Stadium.

Current cup holders and favourites Arsenal will take on Aston Villa at 5.30pm.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to win the trophy for the sixth time.

If Aston Villa win the cup, it will be the first time for Tim Sherwood as manager. The team last lifted the FA Cup in 1957.

It is the 134th FA Cup final which is the oldest football knockout competition in the world.

The competition started in 1872 and now has prize money of £1.8 million with the runners-up getting £900,000.

This year the trophy will be presented to the winning team by Prince William, who is himself an Aston Villa fan.
