The real home that inspired writer JM Barrie to write his classic tale of the boy who wouldn't grow up has went on sale in Kensington.

The Grade II listed building where Barrie composed Peter Pan is on the market for the eye-watering price of £7 million.

Much of the house remains unchanged since Barrie's day, including the door furnishings, wall panelling, fireplace and banisters and the master bedroom is even decorated in an enchanting blue colour reminiscent of Wendy's bedroom described in the tale.

The seven-bedroom, three bathroom home, called Leinster Corner is on sale with Strutt & Parker and has a blue plaque out the front in tribute to its famous former owner.

The house even glistens with its own 'fairy dust' when reflected in the flight, due to it being covered with tiny pieces of mirror.

Estate agent Miles Meacock said the property was one of London's most captivating homes.
