The shock defeat of Twickenham MP Vince Cable rounded off a disastrous night for the Liberal Democrats in London.
The Business Secretary was defending a majority of more than 12,000 but was beaten by Conservative candidate Tania Mathias.
Climate Secretary Ed Davey lost Kingston & Surbiton, veteran MP Simon Hughes was ousted in Bermondsey & Old Southwark, Home Office minister Lynne Featherstone was defeated in Hornsey & Wood Green and former minister Paul Burstow lost Sutton & Cheam.
Labour also took Brent Central with a huge majority after Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather decided to stand down.
The Liberal Democrat massacre leaves Tom Brake as the party's sole MP in London, representing Carshalton & Wallington.
