Conservatives claim prize scalp of Lib Dem Climate Secretary, Ed Davey
The Conservatives tonight claimed the prize scalp of Liberal Democrat Climate Secretary Ed Davey.
And veteran Lib Dem Simon Hughes was set to become another high-profile casualty in Bermondsey & old Southwark.
Davey's defeat in Kingston and Surbiton was the biggest shock so far in the London battleground.
Mr Davey, who has represented the seat since 1997, was defending a majority of 7,560.
The Tory campaign in support of candidate James Berry included visits from David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson.
