The London Marathon 2015 will take place tomorrow with tens of thousands of runners and hundreds of thousands of spectators expected to turn out.

The route totals 26.2 miles and more than 36,000 people are expected to cross the finishing line.

START TIMES

  • 9am Wheelchair races

  • 9.20am Elite Women's Race

  • 10.10am Elite Men's Race

  • 10.10am Mass Race

TRANSPORTThe Marathon will mean London will obviously be very busy. For a full list of closures and diversions visit the specific Transport for London page.

DrivingFull road closures start at 7am from Greenwich Part to St James's Park. All approaches to Upper Thames Street, Tower Hill and Victoria Embankment. Rotherhithe Tunnel, Tower, Southwark and Westminster bridges will also be closed.

A phased reopening of roads will take place from around midday with all roads expected to be fully reopened by 7pm.

Tube and OvergroundTube services in central areas will be running as normal, but there will be no service on the Bakerloo line between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone.

Avoid Canada Water, Rotherhithe, Shadwell, Surrey Quays and Wapping stations between 7-11am unless you are participating in the race.

Bus Lots of buses will be diverted between 6:30am-7pm including:1, 3, 11, 12, 15, 15H, 24, 25, 29, 42, 47, 51, 53, 54, 78, 87, 88, 89, 91, 96, 99, 100, 108, 115, 122, 129, 132, 148, 159, 161, 177, 178, 180, 188, 199, 202, 211, 225, 244, 277, 286. 291, 341, 343, 344, 380, 381, 386, 422, 453, 469, 472, 486, C10, D3, D6, D7, D8, P12 and RV1.

WEATHERThe Met Office say it will rain tomorrow morning with heavy cloud cover and temperatures of about 8-9C.

The rain will clear by about 2pm but it will remain cloudy.

It will then brighten up in the afternoon across London with temperatures reaching a maximum on 12-13C.
