Police have released a series of images of the Hatton Garden jewellery thieves and announced a cash reward for information which leads to their arrest.

The burglary took place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend at Hatton Garden Safety Deposit Ltd, 88-90 Hatton Garden. It's thought the value of jewels and cash could be up to £200m.

Detective Superintendent Craig Turner, Head of the Flying Squad appeared on the BBC's Crimewatch programme yesterday and announced a reward of £20,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of all those responsible.

Images captured on CCTV of the thieves entering and leaving the scene of the burglary were issued in an attempt to jog people’s memories along with an image of the actual drill used to bore through the wall in the vault. The Hilti DD350 drill was used to make a hole measuring 50cm deep, 25cm high and 45cm wide.

The thieves initially entered the building after 9pm on Thursday 2 April and left shortly after 8am on Good Friday, 3 April. They then returned to the scene soon after 10pm on Saturday 4 April and were recorded on CCTV leaving the premises at around 6.40am on Easter Sunday, 5 April.
