Former Mayor of New York urged to stand for Mayor of London
The former Mayor of New York may take on Boris Johnson in next year's election for the position of Mayor of London.
Michael Bloomberg, who was in office in the US for three terms after being elected in 2001, is being urged to stand in London according to The Sunday Times.
Last year, the 73-year-old business magnate was given an honorary knighthood by the Queen for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic activities.
Mr Bloomberg has played polo with Prince Harry, shared a hot dog with David Cameron and was once married to a woman from Yorkshire.
