Nigel Farage says he regrets calling protesters who interrupted Sunday lunch at his local pub 'scum', and wishes he used stronger language.

Speaking to ITV London's 'The Late Debate', the Ukip leader said he was 'disgusted' by the 'frightening' actions of campaigners who surrounded his car at the weekend.

Nigel Farage dismissed suggestions that his children were not with him at the time and says they ran of and hid in a churchyard. They were eventually brought back by police.

Speaking on Sunday anti-Ukip protest organiser Dan Glass claimed Farage was sitting on his own, and he didn't see any children.
