Councillor caught playing scrabble during crucial meeting
A councillor was caught playing scrabble on his tablet computer during a crucial meeting.
Liberal Democrat Martin Elengorn was photographed by a Tory rival in the council chamber at Richmond upon Thames.
Councillors in the London borough were meeting to fix the authority's budget and council tax.
Cllr Elengorn was spotted playing the word game by Conservative Helen Hill.
Cllr Elengorn said he turned to Scrabble to 'blunt' the effect of a speech by a Conservative and because his view was blocked.
