Two police officers helping to guard diplomats have been sacked for sharing pornographic images on their mobile phones.

The two PCs were found guilty of Gross Misconduct by a Scotland Yard disciplinary hearing.

It followed an investigation, into allegations of Diplomatic Protection Group officers 'possessing and disbrututing obscene images via mobile phones.'

The 34-year-old and 36-year-old officers were part of the Diplomatic Protection Group (SO6).

Another member of SO6, PC James Addison, was sacked in June after being convicted of 11 charges of publishing an obscene article. He was fined £6,000.

A fourth officer under investigation resigned in August.
