10 year old hit by police car in Plumstead

A 10 year old boy has been injured in a collision with an unmarked police car in Plumstead.

The boy was hit just after 3pm yesterday on Plumstead High Street, near the junction with Rippolson Road, SE18. London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene and the pedestrian, a boy believed aged ten, was taken to an east London hospital suffering a laceration to his head. The injury is not thought to be life threatening.

The Metropolitan Police have said the car was en route to an emergency call at the time of collision.

Serious Collision Investigation Unit has started an investigation into the collision.
