Noisy, brash and in your face, ATP World Tour Finals return to The O2

When you think of elite tennis in London what comes to mind? Strawberries and cream, freshly cut grass and smart blazers? Or big screens, impressive sound systems and showbiz lighting?
If it's the latter then the ATP World Tour Finals is the place for you.
It returns to the O2 this weekend for its sixth year in London and Wimbledon it is not. And that's exactly the point.
The best eight mens players in the world - minus Rafa Nadal who is having an operation - will battle it out in a unique round-robin format for millions of pounds of prize money in an entertainment and concert arena best known for the other type of racket.
The logistical operation behind it all is impressive - we filmed there on Tuesday as the court was being carefully locked into place piece by piece. Very different from the Il Divo gig which had just taken place.
But the arena is now ready - and the players are already practising on the freshly laid court.
It'll be noisy, brash and in your face. And tennis fans will love it.
