Rugby club broken up after sparking outrage with sexist, homophobic leaflets at freshers' fair

The men's rugby club at one of the world's top universities has been disbanded after handing out sexist and homophobic leaflets during a freshers' fair.

The Students' Union at London School of Economics said the rugby team had "brought shame" on the university after handing out flyers which described women as 'mingers, trollops and slags.'

The rugby club also added that 'homosexual debauchery' would not be tolerated and went on to describe women who played sports as 'beast-like'.

On Monday, the women's rugby team at LSE tweeted its disgust at the controversial comments.

The captain of the women's team said she was outraged by the leaflet.
