London winners take home Pride of Britain award
First it was the star studied ceremony and today it's an audience with the Prime Minister David Cameron.
Those named the pride of Britain are getting used to the limelight.
Among the heroes is 11-year-old Jack Mackay from Eltham in south-east London.
He saved his baby brother and mother from a dog attack, only to be bitten himself.
Jack was seen as one of the stars of the show last night with Doctor Who dropping in to present him with the pride of Britain statue.
And despite a star studded red carpet the celebrities who maybe more used to winning awards were keen others stole the attention.
And one of those people who stole the limelight from the celebrities was Danny Catchesides from Greenwich who is raising funds for a physiotherapy centre in Bromley.
He was London's nominee for the fundraiser of the year award
Whether they were awarded for their bravery or fundraising, all those recognised last night said they don't do it for awards - but did enjoy their moment in the spotlight.
