March to mark anniversary of Mark Duggan's death

Mark Duggan's shooting sparked rioting across the country.

A march and vigil are being held today to mark the anniversary of Mark Duggan's death, exactly three years after he was fatally shot by police.

His family are inviting people to attend the remembrance service in Tottenham Hale this evening.

They say the vigil will be peaceful and have asked members of the public to march with them towards the exact location where Mr Duggan was shot.

His death sparked riots across England, leading to more than 3,000 arrests.

In January an inquest jury ruled that he was lawfully killed by police, a judgment which shocked his family members.

Last month his mother Pamela launched a legal challenge to have the jury's unlawful killing verdict quashed. The judgment is not expected until October.
