Shooting victim told 'it's safer to leave the bullet in your head'
A man shot at close range in a random attack in south London has been left with a bullet lodged permanently in his head. The 28-year-old victim has been told by doctors it's safer to leave the bullet where it is, than try and remove it.
Today, police put a £20,000 reward to help them track down the gunman who shot the Chinese national as he walked through the Roupel Estate in Tulse Hill last September.
He managed to make his way home where he was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital. When he was discharged three days later, doctors left the bullet in his head.
Police believe the attack was completely random.
The suspect is described as a black male
Approximately 5’ 7” tall
In his late teens or early twenties
Wearing a black hooded top - zipped up to the nose and with hood up - along with black jeans
