Tesco removes controversial metal studs
Supermarket giant Tesco has removed controversial metal studs from a West End store after they were attacked as "anti-homeless".
The studs on windows of the Regent St branch of Tesco Metro were last night covered in concrete by activists.
Tesco was forced to defend the studs in the wake of a row over metal spikes outside an apartment block in Southwark.
An organisation called Left Unity was planning a protest at the store this evening.
