A poignant set of photographs capture the raw emotions of new fathers during the birth of their children.

Taken at Chelsea and Westminster hospital just minutes after their partners gave birth, the images show the awe, wonder, relief and worry of first-time dads who have just witnessed their children coming into the world.

They were commissioned for a Father's Day book to support Borne, a premature birth charity, which also includes messages from the fathers to their newborn children:
