New chance to find out what happened at Deepcut Barracks
What happened at Deepcut Barracks 1995 and 2002? Four soldiers were found dead, all with gunshot wounds.
Private Cheryl James's family now have permission for a fresh inquest, it's an important marker for the other families.
Private Geoff Gray was found with two shots to the head. I asked his father if today's news had given him hope.
Four soldiers died from gunshot wounds at the barracks over 7 years amid allegations of bullying and abuse.
Inquests into the four deaths recorded either an open verdict, or a ruling of suicide
In 2002 Surrey Police launched an investigation into the deaths, but found no evidence of anyone else being involved in the shootings

In Private James's case the application for a new inquest was made because of a huge volume of new evidence. Private Gray's family say his inquest lasted just an hour.
The family has been living with unanswered questions for well over a decade. They say they vividly remember the day they were told their son has committed suicide. But they never believed their son would take his life.
There's no guarantee that the high court will agree to a new inquest. And even if there is one, who's to say it'll reveal the truth the families want so much. Still, they're prepared to fight for it.
