Giant hedgehog out of hibernation at Clapham Common
A giant hedgehog, which took a specialist team of sculptors over two months to design and build, has been unveiled at Clapham Common.
The lifelike structure has been scaled up to be bigger than a rhinoceros - measuring 12ft long, 8 foot wide, and 7ft tall.
The hedgehog is predominantly made from natural materials, including 2,000 soft wood spikes and fake fur produced from a combination of willow and coconut fibre.
The giant hedgehog was commissioned to coincide with the launch of a new nature programme by David Attenborough on UKTV.
