ITV Text Santa: Helping children beat the bullies

This week you'll have the chance to do a bit of giving this Christmas when Text Santa comes to ITV. Over the years the campaign has helped raise millions of pounds for charities who really do make a difference.

One person who has been helped by your generosity is Hannah Wright. She was a victim of cyber bullying and has now become a mentor to help other children beat the bullies.

When Hannah Wright was a bullied, it was never to her face. It was online, on her computer or her mobile phone. Beat Bullying, a charity supported by ITV's Text Santa appeal, teaches children how to protect themselves from cyber bullying.

The charity trains children how to support one another by becoming mentors. Digital bullying reaches beyond the playground, and can leave adults confused and children isolated. But the Beat Bullying campaign teaches children to support each other, and to stay safe online.
