We've seen some quite compelling footage today from the Metropolitan Police as swarms of officers took part in a capital-wide crackdown on crimes relating to licensing issues. The 48 hour operation resulted in 297 arrests this weekend, many on drink and drugs offences. One club in Brick Lane was temporarily closed by police following the arrest of several suspected drug dealers. 175 officers carried out that particular raid on 93 Feet East in Brick Lane in scenes which looked like something from a movie. You can see more of that here

You couldn't fail to be inspired by the Paralympics this summer and it's great to see the legacy of the Games in action as more people get involved in sport. We've been filming in Islington today with a football team made up of players who are single or double leg amputees. They are allowed to use prosthetics, despite them being banned in internationally recognised amputee football, where players use crutches. Today the men were taking part in their annual grudge match against a team of prosthetists - the guys who make the legs. You can find out who won on tonight's show.

Also keeping fit on this chilly December day were around 2,500 Santas running through Greenwich Park to raise money for charity. We sent our reporter Sharon Thomas along to soak up the festive scene - sadly she left her santa hat in the newsroom.

Hope you can join us for all the above and more (minus the hat) at 6:10pm.
