Woman bled to death after dog attack

A great-grandmother from Morden died from shock caused by blood loss after being savaged by her daughter's five dogs.

A post-mortem examination has revealed 71 year old Gloria Knowles suffered a haemorrhage after the dogs - two Bordeaux French Mastiffs, two American bulldogs and a mongrel - pounced when she went to feed them at her daughter's house on Tuesday night.

Police say the dogs are still in a kennel while the investigation into the horrific tragedy continues, and do not know whether they will be destroyed.
