Walthamstow dog track development approved

A plan to redevelop Walthamstow's greyhound racing stadium has been approved by the London Mayor, despite opposition from local MPs and campaign groups.

Boris Johnson said that while he "shared the sadness of many about the demise of dog racing from this historic corner of London", the proposal would provide a "major boost" for Walthamstow.
