On Sunday there will also be celebrations in Trafalgar Square to mark the Hindu festival of Diwali. Expect lots of music, dance, live performance and food.
MUSIC
It's Halloween next week, and there are lots of parties happening in the capital. One big one is Alice Cooper's "Night of Fear" at Wembley Arena, where he'll be performing with Ugly Kid Joe and Duff McKagan's Loaded.
CINEMA
Daniel Craig returns for his third outing as James Bond in the much-anticipated Skyfall, which hits cinemas today (Friday). It's the 23rd installment in the Bond franchise.
The official synopsis suggests a different slant on the action-espionage plot line from previous films, with the focus of the film right here in London: "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As M16 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."
