Barton bailed - then off on holiday
Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton is on his way to Portugal for a holiday after being released from police custody last night.
He was arrested on suspicion of affray following a fracas in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Two men aged 21 were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence at around 5.30am at the scene of the incident.
Barton and a 20-year-old man were also arrested yesterday afternoon.
All four men were released on bail yesterday.
Barton, who's a keen user of the social networking site Twitter, indicated last night that he was going on holiday.
He tweeted: "Looking forward to Portugal now tomo. Bit of rest and lots of golf..."
