Rapper Dappy in Court Over Fight
N-Dubz rapper Dappy appeared in court today charged over his alleged role in a fight at a petrol station which left three men with facial injuries.
Dappy, real name Dino Costas Contostavlos, denies affray, along with three co-defendants.
The 24-year-old singer, of Camden Town, north London, was arrested on March 12 over the incident on the forecourt of a Shell garage in Woodbridge Road, Guildford, Surrey, in the early hours of February 28.
The four appeared at Guildford Magistrates' Court and were given unconditional bail to return there on July 19 when it is expected the case will be committed to Crown Court.
The three co-accused are Kieran Patrick Vassell, 24, of Hammersmith, London; Kalonji David Stewart, 31, of Harborne, Birmingham; and Alfred James Miller, 27, of Brentford, west London.
Lawyers for all four indicated that their clients are denying the allegations.
Dappy stopped to hug waiting fans after the brief hearing.
The singer performed in N-Dubz alongside his cousin and X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, and Richard "Fazer" Rawson, and has recently seen success as a solo artist.
