It is at least a little bit embarrassing; a video has been posted on the internet apparently showing military equipment left unguarded.

Worse, the equipment is for Olympic security, part of a missile system that is controversially being deployed on a building in East London.

Residents have already complained. Now one of them, who is a journalist @brianwhelanhack, has filmed the material left lying around, he says, for just under a minute. Long enough for someone with the wrong motives to take advantage of the situation.

It comes as the Ministry of Defence engages in a week long exercise designed to test their Olympic security plans. The aim is to send a tough message. Unfortunately for them, this video will not help.
