Security stepped up to protect Olympic power supply

Deep in the heart of Hertfordshire, it will effectively power the Olympic Games but until recently its security has been rather low-key.

London Tonight has learned, however, that safeguards at the gas plant supplying the Olympic Park are getting a massive upgrade - ready to counter a possible terrorist attack.

After 18 years with fairly minimal barriers, around 100 workers are now on site ensuring the station will be protected by the latest technology.
