The stolen eggs, which went on display as part of a charity Easter egg hunt, were two of 200 placed across London to raise money for the Action for Children and Elephant Family charities.

Organisers of the Faberge Big Egg Hunt said yesterday that the Post Box Egg, designed by Benjamin Shine, and Hatch by Jude Law's sister Natasha had disappeared over the weekend.

Police recovered Ms Law's egg on Saturday night while the Post Box Egg remained at large until yesterday afternoon.
