Manchester City lose out in FA Women's Super League

Manchester City Women suffered their first defeat in the last game of the season losing 1-0 to Arsenal.

Women's FA Cup winners City had looked like they would finish the league campaign unbeaten, but an 88th minute goal from substitute Emma Mitchell's left the Gunners with the league title and inflicting a crushing defeat on City.

Elsewhere Liverpool Women beat Everton Ladies 3 -1 in the Merseyside Derby leaving the blues second from bottom. Liverpool finish 8th in the table.
