'Mischief Night' violence sees emergency services called to multiple deliberate fires
Emergency services have spent the night tackling multiple incidents of fire starting, firework pranks, and other incidents of vandalism and violence.
"Mischief Night" - the evening before Halloween - has become notorious for a rise in pranks and minor vandalism.
Merseyside fire services say they attended 12 deliberately set fires, most involving wheelie bins and other rubbish being set alight.
In Liverpool a woman was hurt when a brick was thrown through a bus window, and Stagecoach services stopped calling at Northwood because of vandalism:
