'Irreplaceable' owl sculpture stolen from art trail

A community is appealing for thieves to return a two-foot tall owl sculpture from an arts trail in Cheshire.

Locals say Ruby the owl is "irreplacable".

She was installed at Meadow Park in Ellesmere Port just a few months ago, as part of a series of animal sculptures by the chainsaw artist Simon O’ Rourke.

The owl sculpture is two feet tall and heavy. Police are appealing for information.

The sculpture was taken from Meadow Park between 2pm on Monday and 4pm on Tuesday.

We need her back! We are a community project and she is completely irreplaceable...

Please help us get Ruby back home!
