Sir Ken Dodd is being treated for a chest infection in hospital.

The 90 year old comedian was taken to the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital on Friday.

His press agent, Robert Holmes told the Liverpool Echo:

Ken has a severe chest infection but he is being treated very well at the hospital. "He’s being treated with antibiotics and obviously the infection needs time to clear. He is in the best place and has been full of praise for the treatment and care he has been receiving. “He is making good and steady progress, so fingers crossed he will be out as soon as possible.”
