Two taken to hospital as police investigate reports of dangerous dogs on the loose

Police are investigating reports of dangerous dogs on the loose after two people were taken to hospital with leg injuries.

Two people from a travellers' site in Manchester have been summonsed to appear before court.

The site, which is in Radcliffe, Bury, is now cleared.

Officers have seized a dog in relation to possible offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

This is an unauthorised encampment and we are going through the required legal process to move those present off this site

Police said officers are investigating seven reports of dangerous dogs between Sunday 31 December and Saturday, January 6.

The two people taken to hospital have since been discharged.
