Major delays on M6 Northbound due to Thelwall Pothole
The sudden appearance of a pothole on the top of the Thellwall Viaduct in Cheshire is causing massive delays on the M60 northbound carriageway.
The pot hole has reportedly caused damaged to the tyres of several vehicles which have been moved to hard shoulder.
Two lanes are currently closed as Highways England carry out emergency repairs.
Lane closures are expected to stay in place for most of the morning.
The lane closures are in place Northbound between junction 20 for Runcorn and junction 21 Warrington.
And there are delays building up to junction 19 for Tabley.
Highways England are warning drivers of possible delays and are advising people to plan ahead.
