22 people have been killed and 59 have been injured in the blast at Manchester Arena. Children are among the dead. The attack was carried out by a lone male suicide bomber who detonated an improvised explosive device. He died at the arena.

Hundreds release balloons in memory of Saffie Roussos

Hundreds of people have turned out in Leyland, Lancashire, to release balloons in memory of the youngest victim of the Manchester attack.

Saffie Roussos was one of 22 people who died in the arena bombing six weeks ago. She had been at the Ariana Grande concert with her mum and older sister. The balloons were released earlier tonight to mark what would have been her ninth birthday.
