Murder investigation launched in Salford

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man in Salford. Police were called to Rosehill Close in Pendleton at round 6:30am.

The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, however it is being treated as suspicious and a murder investigation has been launched.

A 48-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman are being questioned. Formal identification and a Home Office Post Mortem have not yet taken place.

“My thoughts are with the man’s family at what is such a difficult time for them and we have deployed specially trained officers to offer support.

“This investigation is in its very early stages and we are working to establish exactly what happened. We have two people in custody but if you think you have any information which could help us then I would urge you to get in touch.”
