'Majority' of Manx teachers face threats and violence from pupils, says union
Eight out of ten teachers on the Isle of Man face threats and violence from pupils, according to an education union.
The NASUWT says the "overwhelming majority" of its Manx members had suffered verbal abuse, or been threatened outside school gates, at the hands of youngsters.
The government in Douglas is disputing the claims. Ministers say the figures are based on a small sample of teachers.
