Pensioner unlawfully killed at Manchester care home

A coroner has ruled that a pensioner who died at a care home was unlawfully killed. Ivan Campbell, 73, died from horrendous internal injuries in April 2012. The coroner believed he was assaulted at Victoria Nursing Home in Rusholme before his death.

'We've lost the king of our family': Relatives react to care home killing verdict

The family of a pensioner, who was unlawfully killed at a care home in Manchester, say they have "lost the king of their family forever."

Ivan Campbell, 73, was a resident at Victoria Nursing Home in Rusholme when he died from severe internal injuries in April 2012.

His family spoke out after a coroner said he believed Mr Campbell had been assaulted at the home. He recorded a verdict of unlawful killing.
