Pensioner unlawfully killed at Manchester care home

A coroner has ruled that a pensioner who died at a care home was unlawfully killed. Ivan Campbell, 73, died from horrendous internal injuries in April 2012. The coroner believed he was assaulted at Victoria Nursing Home in Rusholme before his death.

Three sisters are demanding justice for their father, after he died following an assault at a Manchester care home.

A coroner ruled today that pensioner Ivan Campbell had been unlawfully killed, although no charges have been brought against anyone. Mr Campbell's daughters described him as a gentle man who loved his grandchildren.
