A special Memorial service for Anthony Walker is being held today on the 10th anniversary of his death.

His family will take part in the service at St Gabriel's in Huyton followed by a walk to McGoldrick Park, where the teenager was ambushed in a racist attack.

The vicar Rev Canon Malcolm Rogers will lead the service, and supported the family after Anthony's murder.

In a statement he said:

"I'm hoping the whole community will once again turn out in force to support his mother Gee Walker and to celebrate Anthony's life and legacy. We will also be remembering other victims of hate."
