Honours for the region's community leaders
The North West has had quite a day at the Palace as scores of local people travelled to Buckingham Palace to collect honours from the Queen.
Oldham teacher collects MBE from the Queen
Stephen Hill, the Deputy Headteacher of St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School, in Shaw, was among the stars and community heroes awarded honours by the Queen today.
Mr Hill collected his MBE - Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire - at Buckingham Palace.
