Inspirational schoolboy Ted McCaffery, from Warrington has been named LIDL's Young Fundraiser of the Year at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2014.
While he waited for open heart surgery, little Ted decided to raise money to replace the broken TV in his room - not for himself, but for the next little boy or girl.
He finished a mini-triathlon to raise money for the hospital before launching a social media campaign where people take a photo of their teddy, adding #showusyourbear and donate to Alder Hey.
Pop singer Olly Murs presented little Ted with his award at last night's star studded ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Olly told little Ted a private jet was waiting to whisk him and his family away for a holiday in Disneyland Paris, right there and then.
With a huge grin, Ted replied: "Back of the net!"
