Honour killing condemned by muslim organisation

I welcome today's guilty verdict of the husband who killed his wife Rania Alayed in Manchester. This was an appalling and brutal murder that has deprived three children of the love of their mother and our hearts go out to her family and children. We pay tribute to the police for their painstaking hard work to bring this evil man to justice and locate her body so that she can have a decent burial.

The crimes of honour killings are abhorrent and an affront to islam, there is no justification for them and those engaged in these evil crimes bring shame on themselves and the wider community.
