Thieves dig 50ft tunnel to cash machine
Thieves have managed to dig a 50ft tunnel to steal a cash machine at a Tesco in Salford. A police source say the gang got away with £88,000.

Police now believe that thieves who stole a cash machine by digging a 50ft tunnel, got away with £88,000.
An earlier estimate put the figure far lower, but a source says that number has been "revised up."
