Boyband Lawson have been back in Liverpool meeting the brain surgeon who saved the life of lead singer Andy Brown.
It was an emotional day for Lawson and for the Walton Neurological Centre as lead singer Andy Brown returned to introduce his bandmates to the brain surgeon who saved his life.
Six years ago Andy was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He underwent a 15 hour surgical procedure to have it removed. Mr David Lawson carried out the surgery at the Walton Centre in Liverpool.
As a tribute, Lawson named the band after Mr Lawson. Today, bandmates Joel, Adam and Ryan met him for the first time.
Andy's mum Bernice was there to see the reunion. She praised the way staff at the centre had cared for her son.
The band are due to headline a massive gig at the Echo Arena this evening.
