Detectives investigating the death of a newborn baby found near Bolton believe she lived independently of her mother for a short period of time.
Funeral held of newborn baby found near Bolton
The funeral will take place today of a newborn baby who was found dead on a country lane near Bolton.
The baby girl who was named Alia by police had been left in Lostock with a message asking for an Islamic burial.
The funeral has been planned by the Bolton Council of Mosques.
Police are urging Alia's parents to come forward.
