Full-sized replica Spitfire in Lytham

A full-sized replica Spitfire has been installed at Fairhaven Lake in Lytham, just days ahead of the area's annual wartime weekend.

Volunteers raised the money to build the replica, which will be the centrepiece of a lakeside RAF Fighter and Bomber Command memorial.

It's been 70 years since Lytham St Annes' own Spitfire W3644 was shot down off the Devon coast, while returning from escorting bombers over France.
