Child sex abusers sentenced
Nine men have been sentenced for sexually abusing underage girls near Rochdale. Liverpool Crown Court were told during the 10 week trial that these men groomed girls as young as 13 because they were vulnerable.
Police chief: further grooming arrests are likely
Manchester's Chief Constable, Peter Fahy, says more arrests are likely in connection with a child grooming ring in Heywood, Rochdale and he wants other victims to come forward. He also said arrests have been made in other sexual abuse cases, and that other trials were pending.
